As part of my Ph.D. training at Portland State University, I completed a Certificate of Innovation in College Teaching (CICT). As a graduate student, serving as Teaching Assistant was a large portion of my practical training in the classroom. The digital teaching portfolio aligns with my mission to engage in a teaching practice that actively considers students’ access to higher education and confronts issues of equity extending beyond the classroom. I highlight those formative professional experiences and skills that I will carry forward in my career. I believe espousing best practices in education requires reflectivity and reflexivity. I hold a responsibility to (re)adapt to the ever-changing needs of students and society in a manner that can be both experimental and supported by research.
